The Great Kiwi Summer Festival will have it all with something for everyone! Prepare for two days of entertainment with The Outdoor Expo, Armistice in Cambridge, Franklin Park Freestyle Dreams and the Illuminate Light and Sound Show (at sunset on Saturday night).

ILLUMINATE LIGHT AND SOUNDS SHOW

“Illuminate” promises to light up the skies at the Mighty River Domain with an awe-inspiring sound and light show. The event is all about championing stronger animal welfare during Guy Fawkes period, providing a public display light and sound show for Waipā families and communities to enjoy.

FRANKLIN PARK FREESTYLE DREAMS

Through the support of Fieldline, your local suppliers of quality Horse Floats and Trailers, the Franklin Farm Freestyle Dreams Family is set to make their thrilling debut in the Waikato region at our Great Kiwi Summer Festival. They will be bringing with them a high-energy showcase of extreme talent on motocross (FMX) and bicycle motocross (BMX) bikes. Renowned as some of New Zealand's finest riders, the team will perform breathtaking stunts and acrobatics, launching themselves off an 8-meter-high ramp and landing on a specially imported, state-of-the-art landings. This event promises to push the boundaries of what’s possible on two wheels, offering spectators an unforgettable experience. Shows on both Saturday and Sunday. Times TBC

OUTDOOR EXPO

Join us at the Outdoor Expo as part of the Great Kiwi Summer Festival. Held at the Mighty River Domain on the shores of Lake Karapiro, Cambridge, New Zealand on 9 - 10 November. ARMISTICE IN CAMBRIDGE

Armistice in Cambridge is the largest Armistice celebration of it’s kind in New Zealand. This two-day annual event, part of the Great Kiwi Summer Fesitval for 2023, features an immersive living-history of things to see and do with plenty of family friendly activities. There are over 20 interactive activities available to “kids” of all ages to participate in. Activities include Archery, Airsoft Target Shooting, WW2 Jeep Rides, Driving an RC Tank and many more. WATERWORLD

Waterworld will be kicking off the summer with an awesome inflatable floating waterpark! Fun for all ages 5 and over (its even free if you are over 70). A fan favourite around the country during the summer holidays, Waterworld are kicking off their summer schedule with a popup weekend at Great Kiwi Summer Festival.
